- FILMIT reserves all rights to showcase the submitted content perpetually anywhere (television, online, offline).
- FILMIT reserves the right to include the film and related materials in its promotional activities.
- All decisions made by the appointed selection committee regarding the selection, screening & awards at the event/festival in entirety will be final. In case of a dispute, the decision of the president will be final.
- FILMIT shall not bear/reimburse any production cost and or any other cost involved in the making of the short film.
- The filmmakers and their representatives undertake the use of the official logo and the status of their selection or award strictly in confirmation with the FILMIT designs and they further undertake the right to use such contest/festival logo in all their promotions, posters and marketing publications with the consent of the FILMIT/ROSHAIRA.
- FILMIT shall not bear/reimburse any freight or other charges in foreign or Indian currency.
- FILMIT will not return films submitted online or via DVDs, pen drives etc. during or after the contest. No screening fee will be provided to selected and non-selected films by FILMIT.
- No travel support or accommodation support will be provided to the filmmakers who attend the event/festival.
- Entry fee will not be returned.
- Selected films cannot be withdrawn by the filmmakers.
- The film should have been produced within the last 12 months and should not be telecasted in any medium.
- Films without English subtitles shall not be considered for selections.
- Films with watermarks or logos shall be rejected.
- Only trailers or promos cannot be submitted for the selection process.
- Films without sfx, color grading and own music will be rejected. Any digital stock content used in the project, should be obtained legally and to be attributed and credited. We have the right to demand proof for the same.
- Please refrain from using nudity in scenes. Use of the intimate scenes, if required, should be made with a tasteful approach.
- Any scenes showing the consumption of alcohol, cigarettes or any other intoxicants & Illicit substances should accompany the appropriate disclaimers and warnings on the screen.
- Film download link with password is preferred, DVD or pen drives are also accepted as hard copies.
- If submitting hard copies, two full hd DVDs should be couriered to the given office address along with a hard copy of the entry form duly filled.
- DVDs must be labeled with film title, director’s name, duration, phone number and email id on them.
- Director’s picture and poster film stills should be attached in the email and a hard copy should be sent along with the DVDs when sending by post.
- A filmmaker may submit more than one film for a category and multiple categories at the same time.
- If the filmmaker fails to submit the film in the relevant category before the timeline, they will be rejected and no refunds will be made.
- Round A: In this round, FILMIT jury panel will decide whether the film covers all the entry guidelines properly. Then the panel will shortlist the best movies and prepare a list of 100 films for Round B.
- Round B: In this round, the Screening Committee will decide the list of films for nomination.
- Round C: In this round, the full bench of Judges with the Contest Director, Contest Chairman, Contest Executive Director, Chief Advisor, and Chairman of the Screening Committee will decide the films for awards for each category.
